Director, eCommerce

Primary Purpose: The Director of Ecommerce is responsible for daily management of the Talbots Ecommerce web store, managing a team of business, UX, and web merchant professionals to ensure that revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and other key performance indicators and objectives are met. Reporting to the Vice President, Ecommerce & Online Marketing, this senior position will play a critical role in creating intuitive, engaging, and high-converting ecommerce experiences for Talbot's customers while proactively managing our ecommerce activities to drive business growth. Principal Responsibilities: In partnership with the Director, Online Marketing and Director, Email, drive daily achievement of ecommerce business objectives, including P&L, customer engagement, and related KPIs Manage the Talbot's ecommerce roadmap, balancing and prioritizing competing business needs using KPIs and metrics, customer research, and market/competitive analysis to optimally leverage our platform to drive business growth Manage the ecommerce SDLC in partnership with IT and Web Operations, creating agile workflows and processes to drive rapid and efficient development and site improvement in support of business objectives Oversee the end-to-end vision and design of the Talbots ecommerce experience, ensuring that customer needs are met with engaging, intuitive experiences and functionality Partner with CRM, Merchandising, and Brand Marketing to ensure smooth operations of Talbots.com and associated mobile properties when planning and executing promotional activities and events Manage the product merchandising activities of the Talbots ecommerce experience with the goal of driving business growth in support of our ecommerce and omnichannelmerchandising strategies.  Own all search engine optimization activities, driving competitive advantage for Talbots in this critical area Build and develop a talented team of business, UX, and web merchandising professionals    Education/Experience/Knowledge: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiencerequired, MBA preferred  10+ years' experience in retail ecommerce website functional or user experience management  3+ years leading a retail ecommerce team Ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and execute, as well as to oversee a team that is driving execution Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including data mining and modeling  Strong understanding of ecommerce funnel flows and interactions, including understanding of impacts of digital marketing channel mix and activities Demonstrated success in setting and adjusting ecommerce web strategies to drive business results An entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic organization.  A strong bias for action and getting things done, both individually and with teams Excellent communication and project management skills Demonstrated success driving ecommerce business results through functional, user experience, and merchandising changes, updates, and activities Job Number4046

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
