Manager eCommerce Merchandising

Primary Purpose: The Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising is responsible for the daily product merchandising activities of the Talbots ecommerce experience, both web and mobile, with the goal of driving business growth in support of both our ecommerce strategy and our omnichannelmerchandising strategy. Principal Responsibilities: Merchandise site gallery and search results to maintain the optimal product assortment display to maximize sales and margin in accordance with business objectives. In partnership with our brand and merchandising teams, be fanatical about ensuring optimal product content (pricing, descriptions, sizing information, reviews, photography, etc.) to drive ecommerce customer engagement and conversion as well as competitive SEO results Partner with ecommerce and technical teams to drive website functional merchandising improvements (e.g., faceted navigation and product attribute selection, recommendations, ratings, reviews, product Q&A, outfit building, etc.) Be the expert on ecommerce/direct merchandise metrics and KPIs: drive product, category, store, and regional insights and analytics to manage activities and share with key partners Partner with OLM, Email, and Ecommerce teams to ensure full alignment on ecommerce/OLM performance and merchandising activities, including product and web page linking for digital marketing campaigns and promotions Partner with Merchandise Planning to develop and manage a seasonal sales strategy based on product assortment, new launch strategies, and overall corporate goals Evaluate ecommerce promotional performance and recommend strategies to achieve business objectives and KPI targets Review and recommend improvements to Talbot's site taxonomy and category navigation to facilitate customer product engagement and conversion Monitor product ratings and reviews and provide insights to business merchant partners. Align web merchandising strategies and plan execution with company sales and margin goals in partnership with planning and merchandising teams Education/Experience/Knowledge: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experiencerequired; MBA preferred  5+ years of ecommerce/online merchandisingexperiencerequired  Proven success leading merchandising efforts for branded ecommerce and transactional websites; mobile commerce merchandisingexperience a plus  Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and project management skills An entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic organization Talbots is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
