Rehab Technician II

SUMMARY:
Responsible for clerical and clinical assistant responsibilities within the Rehabilitation Department under the supervision of appropriate staff. Assist staff with daily tasks associated with the department. Is a role model of customer service principles and consistently monitors and implements quality efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Demonstrates respect for, adherence to and promotion of the mission and philosophy of Erickson Living.

2. Ensures the resident care policies and procedures are followed, in compliance with applicable quality of care standards.

3. Compliant with HIPAA guidelines, provides privacy and maintains confidentiality.

4. Consistently and appropriately responds to the needs and concerns of residents, families, and visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner.

5. Demonstrates awareness of potential hazards and reports unsafe conditions to appropriate staff to maintain a safe environment for residents, families and staff.

6. Participate in facility and department meetings as appropriate.

7. Orient new staff as requested.

8. Demonstrate an awareness of fiscal management in service delivery and supply/equipment requests.

9. Assist clinical rehabilitation staff with preparation of treatment area, customer transport (ambulatory or wheelchair) to and from the Rehab department. Will assist with patient treatment only under the approved supervisory rules and regulations pertaining to each discipline.

10. Maintain the cleaning, maintenance and inventory of all Rehab equipment.

11. Schedule rehabilitation appointments,

12. Maintain working knowledge and competent use of Erickson Living computer systems sufficient to perform duties.

13. Maintain all departmental reports, statistics and record systems compliant with policy and privacy standards. This may include running reports, generating reports, completing billing, faxing, filing, copying and other clerical and analytical responsibilities.

14. Coordinate staff schedules to ensure coverage for PTO, etc. to provide consistent care without interruption.

15. Maintain records of all required departmental licenses and certifications.

16. Complete bi-annual mock survey checklists for areas assigned and submit report to the Rehabilitation Manager.

Computer skills and keyboard competency required.

Requires an independent, self-motivated, organized and flexible employee.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or GED required.

Experience working with geriatrics preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years related work experience



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
