Technical Writer - Associate

This includes planning, scheduling, researching, writing, and editing online and context-sensitive help, user guides, training materials, videos, release notes, Quick Reference cards, Marketing materials and knowledge base articles.
Specific Responsibilities:
o Expand and enhance existing documentation by researching technical support calls and adding real-life examples.
o Complete documentation projects in a timely manner to meet deadlines for all deliverables.
o Provide writing and editorial support to technical support, sales and marketing, and training groups as needed.
o Provide valuable input into product usability, workflow, and feature design from an end user's perspectiveo Successfully partner with software development team to create all documentation.

You have a knack for translating technical info effectively to a non-technical audience.

Come see why so many choose to continue their careers with Follett! Job Requirements o Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Writing, or Journalismo 1to 3 years technical writing experience o Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
o Advanced computer skills and ability to new software programs and technology tools quickly.
Experience with Captivate and Flare preferred.
o Ability to understand and articulate the product's technical requirements and usage and translate these into information that our customers, both technical and non-technical, can understand.
o Excellent writing skills in relation to technical documentation including spelling, grammar, and structure.
o Excellent verbal communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
