Engineering Associate, Sustainability Solutions

Mantis is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Associate, Sustainability Solutions, to support our commercial and corporate real estate client programs for energy and sustainability.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that is improving global sustainability through facility performance.
As an Engineering Associate in our Sustainable Facilities team, you will play a critical role in evaluating facility energy performance, conducting energy assessments, and performing real estate portfolio analysis.
Your expertise will contribute to identifying opportunities for energy savings, optimizing utility costs, and developing strategies for sustainable facility management.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive energy assessments of facilities to identify areas for energy savings, including lighting, HVAC systems, and building automation systems.
Perform detailed analysis of utility bills, energy consumption data, and key performance indicators to evaluate energy and utility cost performance across the real estate portfolio.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and conduct thorough real estate portfolio analysis, including energy benchmarks and carbon footprint analysis.
Identify and recommend energy efficiency measures, renewable energy solutions, and other sustainable practices to improve energy and utility cost performance.
Support the development of business cases, feasibility studies, and project proposals for energy efficiency upgrades and sustainability initiatives.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of energy efficiency measures and sustainability projects, tracking their impact on energy consumption and utility costs.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to sustainable facility management and energy efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into facility design, construction, and operations.
Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate energy assessment findings, portfolio performance, and recommended actions to stakeholders.
Assist in managing relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, energy management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus.

years' proven experience in conducting energy assessments, analyzing utility costs, and/or performing real estate portfolio analysis.
Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles, sustainable building practices, and utility cost optimization strategies.
Proficiency in energy analysis software, data visualization tools, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with energy benchmarking frameworks (e.
g.
, ENERGY STAR, LEED) and sustainability certifications.
Understanding of building systems, including lighting, HVAC, controls, and renewable energy technologies.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
